I started running Meta Ads at 17, cutting my teeth in the startup world. After working with countless amazing businesses, I felt the pull to build something of my own – that's how Proton Labs was born! Focus on Getting Sales

We've all seen those ads with tons of likes, but how many of those turn into actual sales? Here's the straight scoop: forget about awareness campaigns if your goal is getting sales. These campaigns are like inviting everyone to a big party – sure, it's crowded, but most people are just there for the free snacks (the likes).


Focus on purchase ads instead. Think of it like inviting people who already love snacks (your product or service) to a special event. They're more likely to show up and buy something! Purchase ads target people who are already in buying mode, ready to pull out their wallets. That means more sales and a faster path to growing your business.

Targeting: Keep it simple!

Feeling overwhelmed by all the targeting options? Don't sweat it! Start simple. Think about your ideal customer. Are they women who love fashion? Guys who play video games? Target people with similar interests – it's like showing your ad to people already browsing the aisle you're selling in.
Open audience ads are another easy way to start. Just pick an age range and gender that fits your customer. This is like putting a flyer up in a busy mall – it might not be perfect, but it gets your message out there.


NOTE - Do not repeat the same interests in more than 1 ad set active at a point of time, doing this will overlap the ads and reduce your overall performance.

Reels Rule (Without Breaking the Bank)

Reels are those short, catchy videos you see on Instagram. They're a fantastic way to grab attention and show off your brand's personality. Here's how to make Reels that rock:

  • Do your homework! Who are you trying to reach? What kind of videos do they watch? Find out what makes them tick. ( TBH Trial-Error will happen )

  • Can't film your own Reels? No problem! Partner with everyday people (think friends, customers, even local influencers) to create UGC (User-Generated Content) for way less than hiring a fancy videographer. Aim for 3-4 Reels to start and see what resonates with your audience.
     

Pro Tip: Stuck between which products to promote? Run a catalog ad. This powerhouse automatically shows your website products to your target audience. Use your website analytics to see which products get the most clicks, then create awesome content around those best-sellers!

Understanding Your Numbers

(It's Easier Than You Think!)

Imagine you spend 100/- on ads and it brings in 800/- in sales. That's a win! That's what Return On Ad Spend (ROAS) is all about. It tells you how much money you make for every dollar you spend on ads.


Do some research to see what the average ROAS is for your industry. That's your starting point. Many business owners miss out on this and then struggle to scale up their sales in wait for an ideal ROAS or run their business at a lower ROAS not scaling upto full potential!

Stalk your customer!

(Just Kidding)

Here's the thing: keep an eye on the people who "like" your ads. It can be a clue about whether your targeting is on point.
 

For example, if you sell high-end jewelry and your ads are getting tons of likes from teenagers, that might be a sign your targeting is off. They might love the sparkly pictures, but they probably can't afford your products. Analyze those likes to make sure your ads are reaching the right people with the purchase intent.

Engagement Matters

(But Quality Over Quantity)

Don't get caught in the trap of posting every single day just to "look busy." Actually, spamming low-quality content can hurt your reach. Focus on creating high-quality content that's interesting and relevant to your audience. Think of it like having a conversation with your ideal customer – you want to keep them engaged and coming back for more!
